Website privacy policy

This policy covers droneweathercheck.com. The mobile apps have separate privacy disclosures in their respective store listings and in-app policy links.

What this website collects

Cloudflare Pages records successful HTML page requests for traffic measurement. The website combines the request IP address and a limited browser/device signature with a server-only secret to create an irreversible HMAC hash. The raw IP address and full signature are not stored. Repeated requests from the same IP and device combination are counted as page views from one daily visitor.

Daily page and App Store or Google Play button totals contain the date, page path and counts. Traffic measurement does not set an analytics cookie or store a precise location.

By default, optional analytics storage is denied. If you choose “Allow analytics,” this website also uses detailed first-party analytics and loads Google Analytics to measure page visits and interactions with the App Store and Google Play buttons.

First-party analytics records the IP address, visit time, requested page, device category, operating system, browser, approximate country and region, and whether an iOS or Android store button was selected. Repeated activity from the same IP address is merged into one visitor record with an updated timestamp and visit count. Access to these records is restricted to the site administrator through Cloudflare Access.

Google Analytics may process device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, referral source, pages viewed and interaction timestamps.

We record store-button clicks as download intent. We do not treat or report those clicks as confirmed app installations. Edge visitor hashes are used only to remove repeat views from the same network and device combination.

Your analytics choice

Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so the site can remember it. Declining analytics does not block content or download links. You can reopen the choice at any time with the “Analytics settings” control in the footer.

External stores

App Store and Google Play buttons open external websites in a new tab. Apple and Google handle information under their own policies after you leave this site.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Daily traffic records and edge visitor hashes are automatically deleted after 90 days. Detailed first-party visitor records are deleted 90 days after their last recorded activity. When analytics is allowed, Google also acts as an analytics service provider; its retention and deletion are managed in the associated Google Analytics property.

You may request deletion of a first-party visitor record by contacting us. Include the approximate visit date and IP address so the record can be located.
